I attended the Creme of Nature Naturals Night Out event this past Saturday with a couple of my friends and it was wonderful! Am I a naturalista? No, but almost ALL of my friends are and I wanted to gain more information on different styles, what it takes to transition, and how to maintain natural hair.
The event was held at the beautiful Aloft Hotel and the theme was "Loving My Hair, Loving Me". The spokeswoman, Pat Williams, is a Master Hair Educator/Stylist and she gave excellent hair care tips and insight on what it means to really care for your hair. What I loved most is that she made every woman in the room feel beautiful just by expressing encouraging words on why it is important to love everything about yourself from head to toe.
On another note, I got to meet Dayna of @itsdaynadane (Go follow her!). This is how I initially found out about the event. You guys! She is soooo cool and even more beautiful in person! It was great to meet her and I look forward to connecting with her in the near future.
As if a "hairversation" and empowerment wasn't enough, Tie Cooper gave makeup tips (lip gloss is back y'all) and Meow & Barks Boutique showcased their newest items. They are based here in Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA but you can also shop these fab looks online!
Last but certainly not least, I left the event feeling confident, more knowledgeable about natural hair, and loving myself even more. I can't wait for the next one! I also added outfit deets below because so many of you loved my look!
