It would be a dream to dress for the holiday season but I honestly don't do much. I usually use this time to reflect on the year and enjoy as many days off as possible. Since most people attend holiday parties and such, I wanted to give my readers three last minute style options that are out of the box. By out of the box, I mean different from your normal party dress and heels. Why not switch it up and bit and wow the crowd?
This look is called "The Dress Down" for two reasons. One, it's a comfy chic look which is my go-to. Two, because I wore this shiny dress as a top. (Normally it would be paired with statement earrings and fancy heels.) This goes to show you can have a dressy look but still be comfortable. No one wants to be in a tight dress and high heels all night especially if drinks and food are involved. Super uncomfortable! I'm wearing a red low blocked heel for monochromatic detail as to not take away from volume of the pants.
I added the leopard coat to give the look some character. Also because leopard is my fave and once upon a time it was cold here in Florida. This one is also to give a full-on cold weather look for the readers that actually have a real winter. I'd add a black turtleneck or arm tights if temps are low. Layering is your friend. The drop ball chain earrings are simple yet make a statement of their own. The perfect pop of color to seal the deal.
This is part one of three of my Holiday Style Guide. Stay tuned for the next look, The LBD Remix!
