Sweaty, smelly underarms are the pits! You shouldn't have to compromise your health with toxic ingredients. Here's my take on a safe, all-natural deodorant.
Initial Impression
When I unboxed the Kopari Beauty Coconut Deodorant, the packaging and brand colors definitely impressed me. Blame it on me being a creative and product junkie. The turquoise color and the fresh look got me excited but the smell of the deodorant is what I was really sold on. I love everything coconut but I'm also very sensitive to smells. It was freshly fragrant of coconut oil but very light. I usually go for powder fresh scents when choosing a deodorant so for me not to think twice about the smell peaked my interest even more. Honestly, no one just goes to the store and grabs a deodorant without thinking hard about it. Issa process! Especially when there are all kinds of pit problems like excessive sweat, irritation, allergic reactions...I'm just gonna stop right there. I don't know about you but I'm serious about my deo choice. Who wants there pits to smell of fruit or flowers mixed with funk when its nearing the end of its wear? Not I.
After Use
I wore Kopari Coconut Deodorant for about a two week period. It was effective for the entire day as I don't normally do a lot of vigorous activity. My plan was to hit the gym a couple of times, but in my opinion, cleaning out my closet and regular house chores were equivalent to an intense workout. The deodorant glides on clear, doesn't leave a residue, and I didn't have issue with stains. The one thing that raised a concern was the wet feeling it had upon application but it dried swiftly and was smooth to touch after about 5 seconds. I had very little perspiration and it lasted throughout the day without reapplication.
I am trying my best to be an all around healthy individual so switching to as many natural products as possible is ideal. I never thought a plant based deodorant was a big deal. To be honest, I went for the cheapest and most effective, (I was using an inexpensive brand from the dollar store. Gotta get it how you live.) but pit health is important. Not saying that my dollar deo was horrible but a non-toxic product is just as important on my pits as it is on the nether region. Ya feel me?
Overall Thoughts
I want to give it a good consistent month before I'm 100% sure, but I'm very fond of Kopari Coconut Deodorant after using it for just 2 weeks. I will continue to use it as this is my second try with a natural, plant based deodorant. I only review and recommend products that I really like and work well for me. I advise you to take this review into consideration but also encourage you to do your own research to see if the product will suit you well. Upon further research, I learned that there is a short detox period of 2-4 weeks while making the switch from antiperspirants to clean deodorant. The guide below explains the detox stages and why just trying a natural deo for a few days to a week won't ensure the best results.

Pro Tip
Did you know you should exfoliate your pits? I use a natural soap and a gentle sugar scrub weekly to combat odor and enhance proper pit care, especially below the surface.
